This is a self-authorship book where I reflected on myself, my upbringing and childhood memories. I attempted to challenge what a book is by exploring alternative structures, formats and methods of creation.
I created a self-authorship book where I compare myself to a dandelion as it’s life-cycle resonates with my own. A dandelion wilts, grows, blooms, roots, falls and rises. When looking back at my life experiences, I too have gone through a similar cycle as a dandelion. Please start from the bottom of the page to read the story.
My objective was to challenge conventional structures of story books by creating mine as a fold out concertina. The story starts from the bottom and works its way up, in a ‘river-like’ flow. There is string attached to the cover and back of the book so that it can be hung up once it has been folded out.
